As anyone who has been reading my blog will know, I’ve been dealing with a tricky relationship with exercise for the last year or so. I’ve been signed up to do Ride London for Mind for months but, despite really wanting to do it, I haven’t been sure whether it would be good for me mentally or physically.
After a lot of soul searching I’ve decided to give it a go. I think Mind do amazing things for so many people with mental health problems – and they supported me to stay in work when I was having a really difficult time myself.
But (because I didn’t want to let anyone who sponsored me down if I ended up not participating) I’m a bit late in getting started with my fundraising. I’d really appreciate it if you were able to send a few pounds my (Mind’s) way to help make my ride worthwhile. I’ll be doing so myself as well.
I’m not going to race it like the marathon – but it will be longer than I’ve ever cycled before so i expect it to be a challenge anyway.
